I am so pleased with the work done by T Rock company and Mark Strong who was in charge of the entire process. I had my roof replaced, chimney repair and exterior and interior house painting. Mark is a consummate, honest professional who really knows his stuff. He did a thorough assessment of my roof with pictures and went over what needed to be done in detail. He met with my insurance adjuster and went over his findings to make sure I got the most out of my claim. He coordinated the jobs to accommodate my schedule. I have been very impressed with his team and how efficient and thorough they were in completing the job, along with excellent cleanup. They were very experienced and knew their profession well. Mark oversaw the progress to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction. The subcontractor used to paint my house were equally as impressive. I am so pleased with the way my house looks and have gotten compliments from my neighbors. It’s not easy to go through the process of getting your house repaired but Mark Strong and T Rock made sure the process went smoothly without cutting corners. I highly recommend this company if you want the work needed for your house to be done professionally, thoroughly and honestly. They did an awesome job and are great to work with. They will also make sure the customer is 100% satisfied which is very important to me when choosing a company to work with. Broomfield House Painting

Another type of paint is on the market that claims to be a primer and paint in one. Basically, it’s just thicker paint and costs twice as much as regular paint. Most professional painters aren’t fans, but if you have exterior walls in excellent condition already, and the self-priming paint is the same color as the original paint color, it could certainly save painting time with one coat going on instead of two.
Typically, materials account for 15% of the cost charged by painters. Buying the painting supplies yourself may help you save a lot of money down the road. Be prepared to buy 2-3 gallons for painting the interior walls of an average-sized room. In addition to paints and primers 3, you will need paint brushes, rollers, face masks, rubber gloves, painter’s tape, drop cloths, sandpaper etc. While you can pick up disposable painting brushes for under a dollar from home improvement stores, reusable higher-end brushes can cost as much as $20. A standard roll of 1 inch painter’s tape (60 yard) will cost around $5. Equipment such as ladders or scaffolding 4 can be rented for a small cost. An interior scaffold 4 with adjustable platform heights from 2’ to 12’ in 2” increments can be rented for around $10 per hour, or $165 per week. Broomfield House Painting
Stripping – $54–$151/100 sq. ft.. “The principle of paint strippers is penetration of the paint film by the molecules of the active ingredient, causing its swelling; this volume increase causes internal strains, which, together with the weakening of the layer's adhesion to the underlying surface, leads to separation of the layer of the paint from the substrate.”— Wikipedia. All the stripper will do is soften the paint. You’ll still have to scrub or scrape it off. Broomfield Home Painting
"Moses was outstanding to work with! His work was high quality. He power washed our fence and brought us stain color choices. We also had him paint our front door and a small section of fence. He took the time to prep before painting our front door (masking off areas, etc.) and cleaned up everything. In addition, Moses was exceptional about texting updates so he completely managed my expectations. And I felt his quote was very competitive, delivering value for the work performed." Wood is probably the most time-consuming when it comes to preparing it for paint. It has to be scraped and sanded until there isn’t a single chip or bit of loose paint in sight. Any wood siding or trim with wood rot will need to be replaced, and all cracks and holes need to be filled with epoxy filler. Brush painting and roll painting wood siding costs $43 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting costs $34 per 100 sq. ft.
While you may choose to paint a door, ground-level window trim and other parts of your house’s exterior, it’s really a job best left to the professionals. One of the main reasons is experience. An experienced painter knows how to handle the prep work, spot problems and identify sources of future trouble, all while getting the job done more efficiently. They are also experienced with spending long hours on tall ladders. If you want high-quality work, it’s best to hire a professional painter near you. Broomfield Home Painting
Generally, you’re responsible for purchasing your own paint, and the painter handles the rest of the operation. But, not always! Some home painters, particularly those who charge significantly lower rates to beat out their competitors, don’t provide basic supplies such as dropcloths, tape, or even brushes and rollers—and these expenses can add up if they’re coming out of your pocket. Painter’s tape—a must for masking off areas that should not be painted, like crown molding—alone costs about $7 to $10 for a roll of 60 yards.
Painters usually find it hard to estimate the cost of prep work accurately. This is because the amount of work required varies greatly from job to job. The more the damage, the greater the amount of prep work required and hence, greater the cost. Dirty walls covered with grease have to be thoroughly cleaned for the new paint to adhere properly. Wood surfaces should be sanded 5 along the grain and dusted clean ($1.80 per square foot). Any cracks and holes in the drywall will also have to have to be repaired ($1.50 to $3.00 per square foot). We needed to update the kitchen. Included were: Kitchen and Breakfast nook flooring Replace tile counter tops with quartz Replace backsplash paint Pull out old original 18" electric oven that didn't work and replace it with an appliance garage Add extra door to deep cabinet so I can get to it. Tim and crew were great. After being burnt by another contractor, we were very careful this time on doing due diligence. We emphasized that while delays can happen, there is no excuse for lack of communication. Tim did a great job of keeping us informed. We did have one week long delay from the painters but that can happen. There were some quality issues with the tile but Tim saw to it that all was resolved and the kitchen looks great. A gallon of paint costs $15 to $40 and covers about 350 square feet with one coat. Designer varieties can run over $100 per gallon. Your contractor pays 50 percent less than what it runs in a home improvement store. You’ll also need to spend another $20 to $100 on supplies like brushes, rollers, masking paper and plastic. A professional will have these items on-hand. Broomfield Home Painting
Recent Review: Very happy with the end product. We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project. He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous. Work spanned over a period of 5 days. Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will. Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual. Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project. Home Painters Broomfield CO
Prep work should include removing all loose paint, either with a pressure washer or by scraping; removing any trace of mildew using bleach and water or a commercial solution, and sealing or covering dark stains; caulking all seams, corners and around windows or trim; applying epoxy filler to repair serious woodwork problems; covering dark stains; sanding all rough surfaces, and priming the bare wood with a bonding primer. Choose the best quality paint you can afford; it lasts longer. Experts estimate that the outside of a house should be painted every 5-7 years, but less-expensive paint may start peeling or fading in 4 years or less while really high-quality paint will hold up a bit longer. Better Homes & Gardens describes and compares the different types of exterior paint while FastFacts.com reviews specific brands. Broomfield Home Painting
