Supplies and Equipment – Scraping, sanding, and stripping tools and supplies; patching compound; power washer rental; primer; caulk; masking supplies; painters’ tape; ladders and scaffolding; paint pans; brushes, sprayers, and roller brushes all cost money, even if you do it yourself. Consider all of those tools and equipment sitting in your garage for the rest of your life vs. paying an experienced painter to do it all for you at a price that saves you weeks of time. Expect to pay $5–$6 per 100 sq. ft. for supplies and materials. Home Painters Broomfield CO

Phillips Painting showed up a little late, but still at a reasonable time and went to work, finishing the job in one day as quoted. The repair team had equipment available to cut the James Hardie siding to size. The repair work fits in well with the existing siding. I will include Phillips painting in our group of potential contractors when we are ready to have the whole house painted. Especially since I know they can handle any necessary repairs prior to the painting job.
Even if painters have workers’ compensation insurance—which, once again, they absolutely should—the last thing you want is to have a painter get injured on your property. To mitigate that risk, professional painters are expected to wear safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, coveralls, and other garments or equipment designed to protect the wearer's body from injury or infection. Recent Review: Very happy with the end product.  We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project.  He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous.   Work spanned over a period of 5 days.  Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will.  Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual.   Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project. Even if you think you'll probably do the job yourself, it's good preparation to seek estimates from professional exterior home painters near you. Then you'll have a financial point of comparison and you may benefit from what a home painting contractor has to say about the condition of your home, color choices and types of paint available. Let the painter make his pitch for a professional job before you decide what to do. You can still opt to do it yourself while having learned something worthwhile.

Most of a projects price is the cost of labor at $25 to $75 per hour. However, most contractors bid out based on the entire project which includes all work hours. Hourly rates are only useful if your pro asks to do the job as “time and materials.” However, be wary of this pricing structure, it usually shows the contractor is uncertain how long the project will take.
I hired a painting company to paint my house and garage. Price was about $5,000.Sherwin Williams paint T-1000. When he was questioned about the paint peeling two days after he painted the garage he quit even with a contract not a very professional person. So,now I have to find someone else to paint my house. After 3 weeks of them trying to paint around the rain. The original time frame was 3-4 days.Yes 3 weeks and all that got done was a small two car garage that could have been done in two days.I know he did not prep correctly and properly I will end up having to redo the garage. I went to Sherwin Williams and got the colors. So beware even with a contract and good references. House Painter Broomfield Colorado
