The crew arrived on time, but did not bring a pressure cleaner with them. The insurance company clearly stated the charges for pressure cleaning before painting and I had confirmed this with the sales person. I went ahead and let the crew paint the trim without pressure cleaning and then found out that they did not have the custom paint color for the trim. The sales person had even taken a sample of the paint with him. The head painter (Angel) then left to get the paint while his assistant continued to prep and paint what he could with the paint they had. After a few hours I called the office and they said that Angel was still getting the paint. The assistant finished and ended up sitting on the front porch waiting. I had called the office again after a couple of hours as was told that Angel had gone back to their office in Plano to get the paint. I work in Plano and it only takes 45 minutes each way. Angel did not return for 5 - 1/2 hours. They finished up and I had to reschedule them to come back out and pressure wash/paint the metal roof. Angel did pressurewash and complete the painting in a few hours.
Recent Review: Very happy with the end product. We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project. He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous. Work spanned over a period of 5 days. Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will. Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual. Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project.
If there is any peeling — and there usually is somewhere — it's essential to scrape off any loose paint. This doesn't just mean the parts that are already separated from the wood and ready to fall off on their own. Each spot where paint has peeled loose needs to be scraped thoroughly until you can no longer get the sharp corner of a putty knife under any of the surrounding edges of paint. Then, the bare spot needs to be sanded until the paint edges are smooth.
Phillips Painting showed up a little late, but still at a reasonable time and went to work, finishing the job in one day as quoted. The repair team had equipment available to cut the James Hardie siding to size. The repair work fits in well with the existing siding. I will include Phillips painting in our group of potential contractors when we are ready to have the whole house painted. Especially since I know they can handle any necessary repairs prior to the painting job. Home Painters Broomfield CO
“I hired you guys at House Painters to do a whole house painting job for a new home I was moving to and I’m completely blown away by the quality and professionalism your team has shown. The guys that gave me my estimate were very attentive to what I was looking for, they offered a very fair price for the quality I received, and they made sure that all the small details were perfect. Your crew did some amazing work!” - Terry W. Home Painters Broomfield CO
We needed to update the kitchen. Included were: Kitchen and Breakfast nook flooring Replace tile counter tops with quartz Replace backsplash paint Pull out old original 18" electric oven that didn't work and replace it with an appliance garage Add extra door to deep cabinet so I can get to it. Tim and crew were great. After being burnt by another contractor, we were very careful this time on doing due diligence. We emphasized that while delays can happen, there is no excuse for lack of communication. Tim did a great job of keeping us informed. We did have one week long delay from the painters but that can happen. There were some quality issues with the tile but Tim saw to it that all was resolved and the kitchen looks great. While vinyl siding salespeople claim it never needs to be painted, it does lose its color strength over time, and the degree of fading can vary depending on which sides get the most exposure to sunlight. Perhaps it still hasn’t faded, but you don’t like the color much. You can’t go any darker than its current color, though, because the siding is designed to absorb only so much heat, and a darker color could cause it to buckle. Vinyl paint is available in many colors. Brush painting and roll painting vinyl siding costs $43 per 100 sq. ft., and spray painting costs $34 per 100 sq. ft.
When determining the total cost of a home’s exterior project, you’ll want to include things like the trim, a garage, foundation, windows and doors. All work is calculated by square footage and sometimes by the linear foot, such as in the case of trim. Your contractor will give you a price for the entire project unless you specifically ask for each item separately. Broomfield House Painting
The materials of the home’s facade should be considered before painting your home. When painting flat surfaces like siding or wood, you can opt for standard outdoor paint. When painting a textured surface like stucco or brick, “elastomeric” paint is a much better choice. This type of paint can stretch more than normal paint, which allows it to bridge over small gaps and crevices, painting smoothly over texture. House Painter Broomfield Colorado

David Turk was very helpful and gave great suggestions. He had great patience with my vacation schedule, weather interruptions and roofing schedule. Phillips Painting provided an excellent painting crew lead by Rodrigo. Day one Rodrigo and his crew power washed, replaced rotted wood, scraped peeling paint and sealed all seams. Day two they covered all exposed areas and painted. The front door, the back kitchen door, the new sliding glass door and the garage door were also included. The project was cleaned up and completed by 12:30 on day 2. I am very happy with the look. To quote David, "that's why you hire professionals." Thank you Phillips Painting, David and Rodrigo. I highly recommend Phillips Painting. I will use them in the future for interior work. House Painter Broomfield Colorado
