It’s been a while but I know I can do the required hours to finish in two days completely, however did I mention I am the only crew for the job. So I tend to bid low and some of the quotes i have read from your posts seemed high, but I am interested in what you would bid and I am on board to give that bid to My client. What’s the worst they can say,,no? Better that than underestimate my time and skills. Signed interested in a sound bid. Broomfield House Painting

Hi Bob, you are correct in saying that ceilings usually take at least 1 coat. Especially if it is an off-white color (which is highly requested from homeowners). We usually factor ceilings in with a standard square footage. For example: $1.50 per square foot would mean $3,000 for a 2,000 square foot house. So ceilings are included in the square footage calculation. House Painting Broomfield CO
When You Screw Up Will you mess up a couple times? Definitely. More than a couple. I have messed up a lot of painting estimates. But every time we mess up (and we still do), we learn from those mistakes and never make the same mistakes twice. Screwing up and failing is how you learn. Be ready to make never-ending tweaks and adjustments to your estimates. There is no way to be in business and not screw up. Learn to embrace those failures, and learn from them. If you do screw up your bid, that’s ok. You have to price yourself incredibly low to actually lose money. So don’t sweat. Just learn.
Paint supplies cost anywhere from $10 to $100 or more depending on what you need. Painters will typically provide most of the supplies for a project, but sometimes they will allow you to pay for solely labor if you provide all the materials yourself. You might decide to do a DIY paint job down the road. In which case having these supplies on-hand will save you time and money.

Walls should be wet down before getting scrubbed, then washed with a gallon of water mixed with 1 cup chlorine bleach and 1 cup of either a concentrated, phosphate-free cleaner, such as a trisodium phosphate (TSP) substitute, or Jomax House Cleaner. Working in sections, from the bottom to the top, will avoid streaks. Be sure to rinse walls well before the solution dries. Wood siding and trim should be ready to paint after a day or two of dry weather. House Painting Broomfield Colorado
Generally speaking, a gallon of paint will cover about 350 square feet. If this is the first time drywall is painted, it will soak up more paint. And remember to factor in whether your job will require one or two coats of paint. Dark and bright colors will require more coats of paint, as will painting a lighter color over an existing darker color. Divide the paintable wall surface by 350 to determine how many gallons of paint you will need to buy. If there’s an odd number with less than .5 leftover, round down, if it’s over .5 round up. I had Renato pain both interior and exterior (ongoing as I type). So far these projects have gone about as well as we could've hoped. Renato is great he is very good at staying on top of things and his crews are polite, work quickly and keep things cleaned up on a daily basis. I would highly recommend General Painting to anyone, including family and friends (which we've already done by the way). Thanks Renato. Broomfield Home Painting
Flying Colors is wonderful! Steven Totilo is incredibly responsive and professional. He provided a detailed contract upon assessment of my home and was very communicative throughout. The team of painters he employs are kind and incredibly skilled! They did everything from power washing, priming, painting the entire house, trim, doors, and gutters, and light carpentry work to replace damaged cedar and trim in just a few days! They worked diligently throughout the heat and were very kind and communicative. The painters did a beautiful job! I appreciated the carpentry work which saved me from sourcing a contractor/carpenter myself. We used Flying Colors about a year ago as well to paint our kitchen and the gentleman on the job was the very same that came to paint my house - and he remembered me! They did a wonderful job then, which is why I reached out to Steven for a much bigger project. The price point is very reasonable for a young person like myself to afford, one of the more reasonable I encountered in searching for a painter in the Stamford area. All in all, a job very well done. If I ever need painting done in future, Flying Colors will be the first people I reach out to. Thank you so much for your work! Broomfield Home Painting
Family Owned Operated. Last year we had the opportunity to do work for some of our repeat customers as well as some new ones. It was a very busy year, the weather played tricks on us, and the storms have thrown us off the schedule. Most customers that we did not get to were understanding and we’ll be taking care of them this year. We also had some last minute calls that we were not able to get to. It is very rare that we can accommodate a last minute project, thus I urge everyone who needs a... House Painting Broomfield CO
